When our surveyor visits your home he will assess which boiler is best for your needs and they will happily recommend the most suitable system. Here we are going to assess the three systems that we recommend the most.
A combination boiler provides both heating and hot water from one single central unit and has the ability to heat the water instantly on demand so there is no need for an extra tank for water storage. This has a great space saving advantage where space is at a premium as a combi boiler will fit discretely into a cupboard.
System boilers are best suited for larger homes where there is a high demand for hot water with several bathrooms being used at once. System boilers operate with a separate hot water cylinder. The cylinder can be installed into an airing cupboard and has the advantage of a back up immersion heater in case of breakdown.
The most popular boiler by far is the combination boiler commonly referred to as a combi boiler. The popularity of the model is down to its ability to produce hot water in an instance, couple this with its space saving ability as it will fit discretely into a cupboard then you can see why it’s the UK most popular choice. Not every home is suited to a combi boiler and this is down to the demands on the hot water system, if you have more than two bathrooms needing hot water at once then this is not the boiler for you, or you may have a large family you may consider a System Boiler or Conventional System to keep up with your water demands.
