My wife and I would like to thank you all for the competence and excellent work carried out at our home, from the estimate and the fitter who plumbed in the new boiler, to the electrician who made our programmer work with the boiler, an excellent team of manpower seldom seen with so called professionals.
How does oil central heating work?
Oil fired central heating is used in ‘wet’ heating systems where an oil fired boiler heats both hot water and heating.
The major difference between oil central heating and gas central heating is that the oil is delivered and stored in a tank. The tank can be rented from the oil supplier and is an additional cost that needs to be taken into account.
There are two types of boilers available; one is a heat only and second is a combination condensing oil fired boiler.
Advantages of using an oil central heating boiler
Oil as a fuel tends to be very efficient, modern oil boilers can be above 90% efficient, which also saves you money. Additionally when you replace your old boiler with a new energy efficient model, the process is simple and most jobs are completed within a day.
