As temperatures dip as low as -5 and The Beast from the East hits the Yorkshire region it has certainly made its impact, with snow filled roads and dangerous driving conditions we head to the comfort of our homes. To get home and suffer a boiler breakdown in these extreme conditions is intolerable.
At Clever Energy Boilers our team have been working very hard to help customers who have had problems created by the freezing weather.
We have had an influx of customers contacting the office who are experiencing issues created from the weather and we have been very pleased to have helped over a 100 customers get their boilers going over the phone. One of the main issues people are suffering from is frozen condensation pipe. When the offices are closed you can gain online help here.
Watch: Worcester Bosch Frozen Condensation Pipe.
Get online help in an instant! If you suspect your boiler isn’t performing as it does normally, check the condensate pipe hasn’t frozen. If the condensate pipe does freeze, you will notice a gurgling noise when standing next to the boiler and/or a safe lock out.

Frozen pipes
The prolonged cold spell is being caused by a relatively rare phenomenon in the North Pole, called a sudden stratospheric warming. The weather phenomenon weakens the jet stream, allowing high pressure to form and drag a mass of polar air towards Europe and the UK.
This prolonged cold weather is also causing frozen pipes and this need to be thawed as soon as possible. Yorkshire Water has kindly designed a video to guide you.
We hope the videos help you out of your situation or if you need further help contact the office on 01274 214557 and our team will be happy to help. As company we also offer Clever Care Policies that take priority in a time of need
