Friday night saw Jon Broadbent and Paul Calvert take home another two awards from the Keighley & Airedale Business Awards. The awards held at Victoria Hall in Keighley, was opened by the Lord Mayor of Bradford and hosted by Look North presenter, Harry Gration.
This year had an unprecedented number of entries, with only a dozen categories, Clever Energy Boilers scooped awards in two of them. Out of the hundreds of applicants and nominees, Clever Energy Boilers were Highly Commended as SME of the Year, coming second only to the overall business of the year winners, RN Wooler & Co.
However, the real honour of the night came when Jon Broadbent was named as Business Personality of the Year 2019.
Harry Gration’s commentary as Jon approached the stage, “It’s Jon’s charm and charisma, along with his infectiously positive approach to the business that made his staff nominate him for this award, always attentive to their personal needs and he maintains an active role in organising charity events.”
Jon was lost for words upon accepting his award saying “I’m very proud. The company would be nothing without our fantastic staff and it’s thanks to them that I’m standing here”
Clever Energy Boilers is having a fantastic year of achievements, along with these two awards they have being commended as Boiler Installer of the Year in the Energy Efficiency Awards and shortlisted for the Bradford Means Business Awards taking place later this month.
