Baxi Duo Tec Range
There are four regular combi boilers in the Baxi Duo Tec range. As well as the Baxi Duo Tec 28, there are the 24kW, 33kW and 40kW models. The Baxi Duo Tec 40 provides 16.4 litres per minute of hot water and the range itself is noted for its hot water performance.
In addition to regular Baxi combi boiler versions of the Duo Tec range, there is also an LPG edition. The Baxi Duo Tec LPG 28kW model contains all the same features as the combi versions, but runs on LPG, which means that even households that do ot have access to the mains gas network. If you opt for the Baxi LPG boiler, you will also need to install a tank to hold the fuel used to power the heating and hot water.
The Baxi Duo Tec range offers a twin flue system that provides more options to the customer about where the Baxi combi is located in their property. You can also use smart controls with Baxi Duo Tec boilers, including Baxi uSense. The Baxi uSense thermostat is controlled using an app from your phone or tablet, allowing you to monitor your energy usage remotely.
Baxi Boiler Prices
To get an idea of Baxi boiler prices, you should book in a home survey from Clever Energy Boilers. We will send an experienced staff member to assess the work needed to install the Baxi Duo Tec 28 in your home. They will take into account if you need to swap from a system boiler to a combi, whether you need to find a new location for the new Baxi boiler and a number of other factors.
Once the survey is complete, they will issue you with Baxi combi boiler prices for standard and premium models covering the entire cost of the unit and labour. This means that you will know the final cost of the job before you agree to go ahead and that will remain fixed for a time while you make that decision. If you are happy with our Baxi boiler prices, then we can arrange a date for the installation.
As part of the survey, we will work out whether the Baxi Duo Tec 28 will meet all your needs. You may require a Baxi Duo Tec boiler that is more powerful in order to serve your home better. Alternatively, the Baxi boiler you need might be less powerful than the 28kW model. An overpowered boiler will not provide the potential savings you could make on your energy bills.
Should I Buy a Baxi Combi Boiler?
Although this is a positive Baxi boiler review, we would always recommend a Worcester Bosch combi boiler instead. We are accredited Worcester installers because we believe they make the best combi boilers on the market.
In the recent Which? Magazine boiler report, Worcester Bosch topped the poll of customers and boiler experts for the tenth year in a row. Baxi could only manage a disappointing sixth position in the rankings. Baxi’s overall brand score of 74% was a long way behind Worcester’s 90% showing.
One of the main reasons for Baxi lagging behind was in the ‘engineer recommendation’ section. Gas professionals do not rate Baxi combi boilers as highly as they do those made by Worcester Bosch.
The Baxi Duo Tec 28 is a decent boiler, but you might prefer to look at a new boiler from the Worcester Bosch Greenstar range instead.
